INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BUSINESS SECTOR

The Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship Support Devinno is a non-profit, non-governmental organization from Republic of Moldova. Established in 2015 by several young enthusiasts, Devinno’s mission is to provide quality services on capacity building for innovative SMEs and the development of practical skills for entrepreneurs.

Devinno was established in order to help the community of innovative SMEs to bring their products on the market and improve the product failure rate by strengthening the links of the knowledge triangle and enhancing the attraction of funds for innovative projects. Main objectives are: stimulation of Moldovan enterprises participation in research and innovation funding programs and improvement of National public policies related to development of small- and medium-sized enterprises with actions targeting innovative entrepreneurship. The specificity of Devinno resides in bridging the gap between conventional and innovative entrepreneurship and innovation.

Our objectives:

  • Promoting innovation activities in the business environment;
  • Increasing perception of entrepreneurial culture;
  • Stimulate regional development and strengthening of local government;
  • Encouraging participation of companies and organizations in funding programs;
  • Providing expertise in improving the legislative framework regulating the activity of SMEs

Business Innovation

Companies in Moldova and in other EaP countries lack understanding of European funding programs and skills in writing a project proposal according to the standards required to compete with other European companies. For these reasons Devinno developed a mentoring program that guides SMEs step by step in putting their project ides on paper. This program has also the long term objective to instil in entrepreneurs a different way to approach funding opportunities.

Social Innovation

Devinno conducts research on the social embedding and impact of innovation, and contributes to the design and diffusion of socially accepted and sustainable innovations to meet social challenges. By deployment of innovative research, education, advisory services and co-ordination of networks, we create new knowledge, reflect and configure existing knowledge, evaluate measures, develop concepts and forward their implementation.

Development of LPA's

A large development gap persists between urban and rural areas in Moldova. More than half of the population lives in rural areas. The majority of people lack access to basic public services. Local authorities have only limited financial means and human resources. As a consequence, the low standard of public services has an adverse effect on health, education and local employment opportunities. We offer training and fundraising for local development projects.
